Good Morning “Those who “Get It””. Today - Luke 20.
It’s all Jesus. It always has been - all about Jesus. The story of Jesus, and redemption through His blood shed on the cross is woven all through Scripture.
The religious leaders are fired up. Jesus is exposing their darkened hearts a preaching the Gospel of Grace. They scheme and plot, in an attempt to back Him into a corner with His teaching. Funny think about Truth - there is no worthy argument against it! It stands alone! Truth always wins… eventually!
This chapter is packed with reminders that it’s all about Jesus. “ ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone’ ?” Luke 20:17 NIV His own rejected Him. Thus Grace is for the Gentile (us) also (Romans 11:11; Romans 1:16).
“He said to them, “Then give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.” Luke 20:25 NIV. We spend most of our time worried about the things of “This World”. Why? We KNOW there is only emptiness offered in them. What is it we are supposed to give to God? EVERYTHING. Our very lives. Daily. Romans 12:1, Matthew 16:24-25, Galatians 2:20.
Daily we die to ourselves - it’s not about us, it’s about Him! He in us willing and acting according to His good purpose.
Make yourself available today. Dig in. Get to know Him.
