Good Morning “Foreign Recipients of Grace”. Today we are in Ezekiel 48.
This chapter is really a continuation from yesterday’s chapter - allotting the land. Remember, these last chapters clearly describe the Millennial Temple and Kingdom.
Yesterday’s chapter ended with a reminder of Gods Grace for The Gentiles, that’s us… did you catch it? It’s found in Ezekiel 47:21-23. God includes the “foreigners” - the Gentiles in the land distribution - by His Grace! Cool right?
Grace is simply defined as unmerited favor. What does that mean? It means He gives abundant gifts to us when we’ve done absolutely nothing to earn it! It’s all Him, by His Grace.
It is by His Grace that we are able to approach His Throne and receive mercy (Hebrews 4:16). It is by His Grace that we are freed from the power of sin (Romans 6:14). It is by His Grace we are saved (Ephesians 2:8-9). When we repent and turn to Him, in His Mercy He does not count our sins against us. In view of this… it’s reasonable to expect we give our lives to Him for His use (Romans 12:1). Then, it is by His Grace that we have strength to continue to serve Him - no matter what (2 Corinthians 12:9)!
He really does do it all! He even grows and matures us (Philippians 1:6), through “good times” and “bad” (James 1:2-4). Yup… even that is Grace.
Love you all! Dig in!
