Good Morning “Secure”. Today we are in Ezekiel 41.
The Temple we will see in the Millennium is huge! Grand! Fortified, secure! As you read these details - picture it. The angel would have measured using long cubits (approximately 2 feet). So as you read the dimensions keep that in mind. The walls themselves were nearly 8 feet thick! The entirety of this thing would cover football fields… plural.
As we mentioned yesterday, much of prophecy, including this one, tells of future literal physical things and occurrences, while often also serving as a picture or pointing to something else. In this case many believe the description of this Temple - gives us a picture of Salvation through Jesus. Much speculation has been noted regarding the symbolic correlation between each element as it relates to Jesus, through whom we can be forgiven - through whom we have direct access to God.
Jesus promises eternal life, life to the full, secured by His blood shed on The Cross. These Truths may be illustrated by the inclusion of the “Palm Trees” (life and prosperity) and the “Cherubim” (security).
Maybe some speculations are accurate, but either way, some things we know for sure…
- There is room in The Kingdom for anyone who will humbly turn to Him in repentance (1 John 1:9, Acts 3:19, John 1:12).
- Our Salvation through Jesus is secure (Hebrews 13:5, Romans 8:35-39).
Love you all! Dig in!
