Good Morning “Law Breakers” (That’s all of us). Today we’re in Romans 7
The Law was meant to define and incite sin. We’ve all sinned and sin, and in so doing fall short (Roman’s 3:23). If it wasn’t for the Law there would be no defining of sin. Don’t think about elephants… are you thinking about elephants? But I said “Don’t”. There it is - The Law, then sin demonstrated. Although, we know thinking about elephants isn’t a sin - you get it.
If it wasn’t for the law and then the breaking of it, we would not need a Savior nor would we know the Incredible saving grace of God (Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9)!
Embrace His saving Grace! Not sin of course but His forgiveness and Grace. Honor Him, show your love by putting sin behind you. If we truly love someone we don’t want to hurt them by being unfaithful. Paul understood the struggle and speaks to it beginning in vs 14 -. He concludes with “What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.”

Remember David was called a man after Gods own heart because he desperately wanted what God wanted (Acts 13:22)… not because he was sinless (Psalm 51).
Ok I understand that through the Holy Spirit we have all the strength we need (Galatians 5:16) but it just doesn’t seem that easy. Oh, it’s not easy, and it doesn’t happen over night! It’s a daily process, grinding it out, and The Word of God is a must (Ephesians 6:10-17)!
Many believe David (The man after Gods own heart) wrote Psalm 119 to his son Solomon (who became the wisest man to ever live). Solomon no doubt had the same struggle. Psalm 119:9-11 gives us the key to victory over sin… check it out!
One foot in front of the other - every day a step closer to Him.
