Mark 10

Good Morning “Childlike Faith”. Today we are in Mark 10.

I’ve used this example before, but it’s worth repeating.  “Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so”!

Children hear and believe - that’s it.  Their belief is NOT unfounded or foolish… it’s simply confirmation of what is already written on our hearts, untainted by the world’s corruption (Romans 1:18-20, 2:14-15)

The older we get, the more exposure to “alternative” ways of thinking we are exposed to.  Apart from a continual “renewing our minds” with The TRUTH of Gods Word - we conform to this alternative thinking and living (1 Corinthians 15:33; Romans 12:1-2).  It happens, undeniably!  It makes perfect sense - even logically.  We eventually become like those around us.  Me MUST be proactive to guard against that.  Solomon knew it (Psalm 119:9-11).

“That’ll never happen to me Pastor Jason.  I’m founded and grounded in Scripture.”  Without renewing your mind daily in The Word of God it will.  That’s pride.  There’s a reason He wants humility (James 4:10)!

“Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭3‬:‭18‬ ‭ESV‬‬

This whole chapter deals with what I’m talking about.  In each movement they have conformed to the worlds way of thinking.  The selfishness of carnal man has taken over.  Divorce, lacking childlike faith, wealth before Jesus, even special position in Heaven.  This chapter really reads like, “I want what I want.”

Check out the awesome example and contrast God gives us.  While everyone else was trying to figure out a way around Jesus expectations and commands, Bartimaeus the Blind man simply believed and cried out for Jesus.

Love you all!  Dig in and live it out!
