Good Morning “Not in The Car.” Today we are in Jeremiah 51.
Finish the sentence… If you are in the car with a bank robber you are a ________________.
God is about to destroy Babylon and so He warns His people.
“Flee from Babylon! Run for your lives! Do not be destroyed because of her sins. It is time for the Lord’s vengeance; he will repay her what she deserves.” Jeremiah 51:6 NIV
Here in lies an important reminder for us. Satan is powerful! He masquerades as an angel of light, even using what “seems good” to tempt our flesh (2 Corinthians 11:14-15). Evil corrupts - PERIOD (1 Corinthians 15:33). We have NO business associating with it (2 Corinthians 6:14-18).
But Pastor Jason, if evil masquerades as “good”, how do we know? How do we know the difference? Ahhh… we MUST know The Word of God for satan likes to twist it, but God will NEVER contradict it! It is our Sword - our Weapon against his schemes. Together with the full Armor of God we’ve been given ALL we need to stand strong, to recognize him (Ephesians 6:10-18).
Through His Word we even become closer to Jesus and thus more sensitive to His Holy Spirits leading, and convicting from the inside. When we allow Satan to convince us we don’t need to be in The Word DAILY, he’s already won - for we are easily deceived without IT (Romans 12:2). Imagine if our military could only convince our enemies to come into battle with no armor and no weapons. Battle won! Easy, no contest!
Love you all! Dig in!
