Good Morning “Knowing God Cares About Every Detail.” Today we are in Deuteronomy 23.
Recently, regarding The Law, I’ve made mention that God leaves no stone unturned. This chapter makes that abundantly clear. Truly God is interested in EVERY aspect of our lives and charges us to be “Above board” - Holy in every way.
Even where you go dooty, and how you should do it is addressed. When you go camping what is the rule in your camp? Take a shovel with you, go away from camp, dig a hole then when you’ve completed your business - bury it. Sounds familiar doesn’t it? How many of you know that method was commanded by God to the nation of Israel. The topic may make us giggle a bit, but it’s in there, and for God it’s serious business. Check it out for yourself.
The God of all creation that stitch by stitch or cell by cell knit us together, in His image, in our mothers womb has ordained even the content of our days before one of them came to be. (Genesis 1:27, Psalm 139:13-14). He gives us breath and life, and cares about EVERY aspect of our lives. We are to be aware of every detail, and purpose to be Holy in every way. No, this principle is NOT just for the nation of Israel.
”Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming. As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”“
