Jeremiah 46

Good Morning “Sovereign God Servers.”  Today we are in Jeremiah 46.  

Today’s chapter reminds us of many Truths we have studied before.  Chief among them is God’s Sovereignty.  He is over ALL.  ALL means ALL and that’s ALL ALL means.  Every nation, every people, every physical process we know on this earth.  Every heart is in His hands.  He brings the victory, not men and armies (vs 13-16).  Ultimately he controls Egypt and her armies as He does Babylon and hers.  At this time Egypt must be judged (vs 20-24).  

Gods heavy hand is always purposed for repentance and restoration… even as it pertains to Egypt (vs 26).

Despite Judah’s, (The Remnants), sin and rebellion, Jacob (Israel as a Nation) will be preserved.  Even in the midst of what seems like utter despair - God fulfills the purpose He has for His people (vs 27).  

Discipline is required to get them ready.  His discipline is NEVER too harsh as we might attempt to categorize it.  It is just enough, the perfect amount, what is needed and when it is needed “only in due measure” (vs 28).
