Good Morning “Carefully Knit Together.” Today we are in Psalm 139.
David, “The man after Gods own heart”, has a very intimate understanding of Gods sovereignty in our lives. He shares some of it here.
He knows us better than we know ourselves. He knows where we’ve been and where we are going and all of the options He allows in between. He knows our thoughts and even our words before we utter them… “Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely.” Psalms 139:4 NIV
There is no where we can go to escape His care, and love! “Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?”
Psalms 139:7 NIV (Hebrews 13:5).
He was so intimately involved in our creation He inspired David to use the imagery of a knitter. “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.”
Psalms 139:13 NIV
Have you ever watched someone knit a blanket or piece of clothing. Laser focus, every stitch individual, intentional, carefully attached and both dependent upon and essential to the others. In our case… this is the manner in which God produces life, created in His image (Genesis 1:27), male and female… cell by cell, one at a time!
We dare not question Gods design, mess with it, and most definitely not destroy it! Life begins as God ordained - at conception! Scripture makes no attempt at defining life by age as the world does! On the contrary life is demanded for the taking of life at ANY age (Exodus 21:22-25). God holds accountable, those who mess with His creation and design, and also those who approve of those who do (Romans 1:18-32).
Man can come up with whatever “theories” we want to indulge our flesh and make ourselves feel better, but in the end we will stand and give an account to The ONE who created that which we destroy. Scary thought.
Only Jesus provides the needed atonement for our sin. He paid the price required! There’s no question, we’re all guilty. The question is will we apply His payment to our account? (Romans 3:23, 6:23, John 3:16, Romans 5:8, 10:9, 8:1, John 1:12, Ephesians 2:8-10).
Love you all! Dig in!
