Good Morning “Good Race Runners”.  Today we are in Ezekiel 32.

The Lord begins here by using imagery from Babylonian culture to remind them of His sovereignty over the world.  Through actual historical events, once again we know this to be short term prophecy against actual Egypt… while at the same time references to making the stars dark, darkening the sky - point to this as metaphor for future end times events.

Egypt, and Pharaoh specifically, introduced Gods people to idolatry, led them away from His Word and towards Godless worship.  God doesn’t play!  The description of both Egypts judgement as well as those others who have gone “down to the pit” are arresting.

This kind of leading astray continues today through the shroud of “progressive”, “modern”, “Christianity”.  When we stray from Gods Word we by default make ourselves available to the evil one since we have by choice handed over the only means of strength and fortification The Lord has provided (Ephesians 6:10-18, Psalm 119:9-11). In the process we distance ourselves from Him and the ONLY True source of Life and all the true fruit we want to experience (John 14:6, Galatians 5:22-23).  It’s truly self defeating.

“You were running a good race. Who cut in on you to keep you from obeying the truth? That kind of persuasion does not come from the one who calls you. “A little yeast works through the whole batch of dough.” I am confident in the Lord that you will take no other view. The one who is throwing you into confusion, whoever that may be, will have to pay the penalty.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭7‬-‭10‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Love you all!  Dig in!
