Jim & Kathy Carlson – EFCA Reach Global
PRAYER REQUESTS:
---
- Jim and Kathy are long-term missionaries with Reach Global, the international mission of the EFCA, serving first in Congo and for the last 25+ years in France. Jim grew up in the Eaton EFC and is a graduate of EHS and UNC. Jim and Kathy have two grown children, Abigail and David.
- In France they have been involved in helping to plant three churches; two French-language churches and one International Church, an English-speaking church. During the last five years, Jim was given the responsibility of being one of the European Area Leaders, meaning that he was one of the people responsible for leading Reach Global in Europe, entailing a lot of travel throughout Europe and the USA.
- Beginning in July 2019, Jim has been given a new position with Reach Global, that of Director of International Church Initiatives for Europe and Beyond. This position is apostolic in nature and is one of developing, empowering, and releasing international church leaders to be transformational church leaders who see their unique role and place in their city and the world. This means that Jim’s role will be that of helping international churches in Greater Europe to develop both through planting and then helping new international churches and connecting with already existing international churches and then establishing a network of evangelical, international churches. The goal is to see healthy, evangelical, international churches in every major city in Europe (and beyond) meaning that there will still be a lot of travel expected. Jim and Kathy are living in Paris, France (a good international travel hub) where they are also both extensively involved in a local, French-speaking church plant on the left bank in the middle of Paris known as the Chapel de Nesle.
- Jim and Kathy can be reached at Jim.Carlson@efca.org and Kathy.Carlson@efca.org and they also have cell phone numbers for both Europe and the USA, but they prefer that you contact them first by email.
- For Jim as he continues to serve with international churches from the US
- For Kathy as she serves in the US
- For their care to their aging family
