Good Morning “What Time is It”?  Today we are in 2 Chronicles 11.

Rehoboam settles in Jerusalem.  He gathers up 180,000 fighting men from the tribes of Judah and Benjamin.  He’s about to go attempt to conquer and take back Israel from Jeroboam.  Jeroboam had led them into all kinds of messed up worship, even denying the Levites as Priests and putting his own in place.  Seems like the right thing to do doesn’t it?

“‘This is what the Lord says: Do not go up to fight against your fellow Israelites. Go home, every one of you, for this is my doing.’ ” So they obeyed the words of the Lord and turned back from marching against Jeroboam.”
‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭11‬:‭4‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Remember God is able to accomplish His work in ways we cannot even fathom.  He works in all things for the good of those who love Him and have been called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).  We see things from our temporal limited perspective while He is able to see the BIG picture - the WHOLE picture.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord" Isaiah 55:8

“In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.” Proverbs‬ ‭16‬:‭9‬ ‭NIV‬‬

What a great reminder for us to stay in step with Him by remaining sensitive to The Holy Spirit in us.  Sometimes war is the answer and there are plenty of Biblical examples of God leading His people to it.  Sometimes God has other plans.  We must remain in Him, (John 15), and keep His Word in us if we’re to bear fruit.  We must put leaders in place that will do the same.  Otherwise we’re out of step with God.  No bueno!

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:”
‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭3‬:‭1‬ ‭NIV. Check out Ecclesiastes 3:2-8 as well.

Love you all!  Dig in!
