Good Morning “Those Who Want The Truth.” Today we are in Isaiah 24.
I would venture to say that Isaiah 24 isn’t the go to passage for many progressive, “feel good”, “seeker friendly”, “prosperity gospel” messages. This prophecy CAN be horrifying. Summary: All the earth is destroyed, and its inhabitants suffer in unimaginable ways.
Even in the midst of all of this there are some that are singing and rejoicing (vs 14-16). Many like them are described in Revelation 7:9-
The suffering they endure brings about their repentance and they turn to Jesus. In Him, even still in the midst of suffering - they rejoice.
What do you mean, “This prophecy CAN be horrifying”? It absolutely IS horrifying.
Yes… it is… IF you think like the lost world thinks. IF your security is found in your own strength, your wealth, your stuff, your abilities or your government. In short, if your security is found in anything but Jesus… shutter. Quake in your boots, wet your pants, because this day IS indeed coming.
As horrific as it sounds it is yet another display of God’s Grace. Remember sufferings’ purpose is to bring about repentance. It is the last chance for Jew and Gentile alike to turn to Jesus before they are forever sealed in their sin in the place of fire. That place will make the Tribulation time on earth seem like a picnic.
This prophecy“CAN” be horrifying… but it doesn’t need to be. Realize you need Him now, apart from the suffering and fall on your face in repentance (Acts 3:19, John 3:16-, Roman’s 3:23, 6:23, 5:8, 10:9, 8:1) Join the rest of The True Believers who will be snatched away prior to this horrible time (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, John 14:1-3,6)
Love you all! Dig in!
