Good Morning “Refreshed”. Today we are in Proverbs 11.
Pride is a weird concept when you consider that all that we are and all that we have is a gift of The Fathers hand. Apart from His Grace we literally have no breath (Acts 17:25). We have no reason to be proud. This realization should compel us to humble brokenness.
“For who makes you different from anyone else? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not?”
1 Corinthians 4:7 NIV
Pride limits our growth for what can we learn when we have it all figured out.
“When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.” Proverbs 11:2 NIV
Pride keeps us from applying Gods Truth… hence, we’re destined to fall for apart from wisdom folly is our guide.
“Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.”
Proverbs 16:18 NIV
One person gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty. A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” Proverbs 11:24-25 NIV
We cannot out give God for He owns it all. He desires to bless, and refresh through us. As we give, He provides more so we can continue. It’s really pretty simple. We are simply a garden hose that provides the water delivery, the conduit that carries electricity to the source.
Don’t miss out on the fun.
Love you all! Dig in!
