Good Morning “Pleasing to God”. Today we wrap up Isaiah with chapter 66.
“These are the ones I look on with favor: those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at my word.” Isaiah 66:2 NIV
The Word of The Lord through Isaiah here, begins with God referencing the temple of the Tribulation and those who offered sacrifices there. They rejected The Lord and His Word, while practicing their “own” forms of worship. Their sacrifices meant nothing, disgusting in His sight.
“For when I called, no one answered, when I spoke, no one listened. They did evil in my sight and chose what displeases me.””
Isaiah 66:4 NIV
He contrasts their eternal judgment with the restoration of the remnant of Israel, those who believed and remained faithful through the Tribulation. This would also include the 144,000 of Revelation 7. He will bless and restore them in an instant. “Before she goes into labor, she gives birth; before the pains come upon her, she delivers a son.” Isaiah 66:7 NIV
Jesus WILL return, the remnant of Israel WILL repent, God WILL establish His Millennial Kingdom and after 1000 years His Eternal. All will benefit from and be blessed through Israel
“As the new heavens and the new earth that I make will endure before me,” declares the Lord, “so will your name and descendants endure.”
Isaiah 66:22 NIV
As we wait… we must learn from those He despises. All that we do should be as unto The Lord through Jesus. Our lives should reflect Scripture, lived in humility offered in Worship. Our form of worship, if not in led of The Spirt, in line with The Word of God is NOT worship at all. We are to love Him, Worship Him, Serve Him - His way, as He has ordained. We don’t get to do it our way. Romans 12:1 is very specific as to the manner in which we offer ourselves as “living sacrifices” - “Holy, pure and pleasing to God.” How do we know what’s pleasing? We must know The Word.
Love you all! Dig in!
