Isaiah 4

Good Morning “New Jerusalem Dwellers.”  Today we are in Isaiah 4.

Isaiah had a clear Word from The Lord:  Judgment was coming.  Why?  Judah talked the talk.  To some extent, they even went through the motions.  They observed certain ordinances commanded by The Lord… but had largely abandoned His Word.  They had become accustomed to the actions but without daily pursuing Him, through His Word taught by The Spirit.  Pay attention to Gods language through Isaiah.  Does it sound familiar?

“In that day the Branch of the Lord will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the land will be the pride and glory of the survivors in Israel.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭4‬:‭2‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Now review Jesus Words to His Disciples and by extension us… John 15:1 - at least 8… but the whole chapter is amazing.

As I mentioned yesterday… don’t miss Gods Grace.  Antagonists of Christianity will focus on God’s judgment.  Yes, judgment will come but not until Grace is extended… over and over.  Jeremiah will have a ringside seat, reminding the people that judgment has come as promised through the Prophet Isaiah.  Even in His judgment God displays Mercy and Grace, limiting their exile to 70 years - and promising restoration upon their repentance (Jeremiah 29).

Isaiah is a Prophet, giving it to the people as he’s received it from The Lord.  It is NOT by any means watered down.  Isaiah wasn’t concerned with making his message seeker friendly, or “gentle” as to not offend.  Judgment was coming!  Repentance was the DEMAND of God.  Yet even in His urging, there was hope for Israel. Read the rest if you haven’t already… it’s a short chapter: Isaiah 4:3-6.

Likewise, as believers in Jesus, guess what’s in store? (Revelation 21:1-4)

Love you all!  Dig in!
