Ecclesiastes 10

Good Morning “Always Integritous.”  Today we are in Ecclesiastes 10.

Who are you in private?  Or in small circles with your friends?  We’ve seen a world full of “well knowns ” that seem to be one person publicly, then someone else privately.  We’ve seen scandal after scandal released regarding the surprising private lives or alter egos of those we once thought had integrity.  So rare is someone who is genuine that they stand out. “He’s the real deal!”

Throughout my many years of ministry both within our church and with other ministries I’ve had occasion to meet many “well knowns.”  Some are very true their persona, some… not so much.  I think this is the dilemma Solomon makes reference to when describing the woman whose perfume is tainted with dead flys… “As dead flies give perfume a bad smell, so a little folly outweighs wisdom and honor.”
‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭10‬:‭1‬ ‭NIV‬

This is so prevalent in our society that we have even developed related sayings:

-  “You can tell a lot about a person by how they treat those they don't need to be nice to.”

- We often tell our Ladies, “Watch how a guy treats his mom…”. Or, “Pay attention when he’s with his friends.”

- “Integrity is doing the right thing, even when no one is watching." - C.S. Lewis

We are His ambassadors, His children, we carry His name.  24/7 365 and someone is always watching (Matthew 5:13-16).

Love you all!  Dig in!
