Psalm 150

Good Morning “Everything That Has Breath.”  Today we wrap up Psalms with Psalm 150.

“Let everything that… everything that… everything that has breath praise The Lord.”   Come on… sing it with me…

It’s fitting that we wrap up Psalms with this thought.  In every way, with every thing,  and every breath we breathe - we ought to Praise The Lord.  This is one of those common threads all through Scripture.  In fact just after giving Israel The 10 Commandments, God urged Israel similarly:

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.” Deuteronomy 6:4-5

Worship wasn’t just a Temple thing but an all the time thing.

“These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” Deuteronomy 6:6-7

Worship was an everywhere thing, In such a way that others see, witness and want to join in.

“Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.” Deuteronomy‬ ‭6‬:‭8-9‬ ‭

But wait… wasn’t that just part of the Old Covenant?  Hmmm - hardly.   The same principle applies to true believers today.  Jesus reiterated it when asked which commandment was greatest.

“The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” Mark‬ ‭12‬:‭29‬-‭31‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Praise Him everyday, everywhere, and with everything you got as long as you have breath… and then for all of the rest of forever.

Love you all!  Dig in!
